| We had a couple of auctions on club nights in the winter and raised a few hundred quid.
Things we auctioned included:
Dive tat - stuff we had in the shed and never used
cakes (we got £12 for one very pretty appe pie!)
favours like decorating, lawnmowing, babysitting
Various stuff we had hanging about the house and never used.
Get a good auctioneer and get a few beers down people - they'll bid for anything then!
I tried to get the club to do "bag packing" at supermarket check outs. This always raises lots of money. But no one was keen. You could try that. |
