You're right - there's no difference between Beaver and ECS *cylinders* - they all come out of the same factory. What separates a Beaver twinset from one sold by the likes of Halcyon or Niknaks, however, is the quality of the valves and cylinder bands they use. Fact is, Beaver use really, really naff valves and bands that aren't a patch on the high-quality parts that you'll find on the more expensive alternatives. Ultimately you get what you pay for and - despite what your local Beaver-dealer LDS might say - not all twinsets are created equally! There's a *BIG* difference between a cheap 'n' nasty twinset and something like the Halcyon twinset...
