| When teaching the rescue bit of DL and SD (this has nothing to do with DIR so bear with me) we did a PRM a few weeks back.
Now. Everyone is normally taught to dekit in the water etc. However we found that with their kit still on it's much easier to haul the casualty out in one fell swoop then dekit them on land. A strap each, a good haul and they're out of the dangerous wet stuff. Then you can unclip/cut on dry land and it's much easier. |
