I was just a bit taken back by the suggestion! Apparently if cows are inseminated they can't take too much strain/shock within 48 hours - that was the story anyway. The claim never came to anything as we weren't within 500m of his farm, maybe he didn't realise we have differential GPS.
Complaining is cultural. We did a survey in the UK that lasted 6 months over two years and had multiple complaints a day. We've also done a similar sized survey in Kosovo at a lot lower altitude and didn't receive a single one! Maybe the blame culture hasn't caught on in Kosovo, or maybe they've got used to Black Hawks and Apaches and thought our lovely Twin Otter was nice and quiet!
