yes the screen can be repaired. replacement screen from NEW PACKARD BELL R1938 15.4" LAPTOP NOTEBOOK LCD SCREEN on eBay, also, Screens LCD Panels, Laptop Accessories, Computing (end time 27-Mar-08 13:22:14 GMT) easiest way is to get an external tft screen or replace the laptop. your laptop isn't that new and you can get a new one for £300-£400.
If your down Reading way ever, I can swap the screens over, takes less than an hour. undoubtedly another YD'er near you can do it. or you could do it yourself.
