Well, I believe BA organise 777 flights that are engine free...
I do have a glider with big wings - nearly 60 foot wingspan - but it only has one seat
The limit is not there because the glider can't take the weight, but because of the strength of the seating in the event of an approach to the surface which exceeds normal speed limits
