The Halcyon wings come with washers don't they? So it's not like it's not standard.
I've done a fair bit of diving like that with no problems but I do check the wing nuts are tight before I start.

My buddy has a Halcyon STA so I'll have a look when I can......

I hope you get a solution you are happy with because as travel STAs, they are brill.
