Dietary, combinded with regular exercise is the best way forward. Get rid of as much body fat as possible. I am 68 years of age but go to the gym 4 or 5 times a week, and I aim to burn at least 3500 cal per week, which, equals 1 lb of body fat. I always wear a heart rate monitor and keep my heart rate down under 122 with the odd burst up to 150. If you have to take pills all well and good, but with regular exercise which is very important, you may get off it or the amount taken reduced. I have the problem of cholesterol my doctor wanted me to take pills, but I asked if I could try to control it with diet first, she agreed. So far so good.
