Cleaning Greenforce Umbilical Torch

I've just got back from a days diving at Capernwray and now have the task of cleaning my kit. I've never really bother much with my torch - Greenforce HID50 with F2 battery and umbilical lead. I usually just wipe it over and make sure the O rings have silicon on them

Today however i notice that the threaded areas on both torch head and lead have dirty deposits in them and so do the female receptors. I think it's just dirt and silicon. I've tried to wipe with a clean cloth and this shifts most of it but there is still some in the threaded areas.

Can i soak them in anything? Will this short anything or corode any parts. If not any handy tips?

Look forward to the replies

thanks

Mark
