| Having gone through a lot of cheap torches over a short time, the only genuinely cheap torch I've had is the Salvo RAT3 at £70. This cost a lot less than all the cheap torches if you get my meaning. Cheap torches included the Frogram (one replaced under warranty, but didn't bother sending 2nd one back), couple of Northern diver ones, a Pelikan one (1st replaced, 2nd refunded)- although Pelikan stuff generally v. good, a pair of UK C-cell units (UK do do other good stuff to be fair) but admittedly only one failed as I lost the other one.
In the end the Salvo RAT3 was by the cheapest and by far the best.
