The MDE manifolds are much harder to turn than the barrel 'O' ring types due to the facing 'O' ring.

With an Agir/Halcyon/Scubapro type manifold, if the twinsets been set-up correctly with nice parallel bands, it will turn very easily about ¼ to ½ a turn either way.

In fact, it turns easier than the valves*
