| Way I see it is that there's 2 issues.
1- kids took equipment to school
2- school lost equipment
In the case of 1, that's between parent and kids. Your problem, not schools. From the 1st post I assumend that you'd sort that out at home, and not put it on the internet.
In the case of 2, the school is showing your kids (and any others that know) that they don't care about personal stuff. Take that onward and you get kids/teenagers/annoying chav types that vandalise fire exits and lead to death of innocent people.
Melodramatic? No.
I've seen the kids that do this now, and they're 9 years old.
What's the answer there?
