| Tony, a bit about Pro-Plugs from an older thread: basically it's an ear plug (surprise, surprise!) with a vent in it that allows for pressure changes. what they don't advertise is that the vent allows water in beyond a certain depth (10 metres I think). at less than this depth, surface tension is supposed to keep the water out. anyway, the upshot is that they don't keep your ears dry, but limit the amount of water that comes in contact with your ear. i'm not overly convinced, especially as you can't tell whether they are working or not because either way you end up with a wet ear. hope that makes sense.
I stopped using them and went back to the Pro-Ear mask. They're cheap enough and if they work for you as they do for puddlediver then you have a result. |
