H'mm I dream of it getting that warm.
OK, I think it'll be pretty similar in the UK to what you've experienced in Holland. We have a number of different areas for diving which experience different conditions...
The Channel - nice, full of wrecks, very tidal
The North sea - nice, shallow as seas go - so can be affected by wind / waves (our east coast - so onshore winds a bit bad)
The Atlantic - nice
Specific areas of note -
Oban, west scotland, nice sheltered due to islands, a diving Mecca
Scapa Flow, Orkney isles - scuttled WW1 fleet, an absolute must
St Abbs, east Scotland - vv. scenic diving in the 0-20m range
The Farne Isles, NE england - VV scenic, some wreckage, seals
Bridlington, east coast - reasonable diving
Dover - never been
Plymouth, Falmouth, etc - channel diving off south coast
Skomer Island, SW Wales - very scenic, some wrecks
Oh and tons more.
Leeds is situated as far from the sea as possible, but lies on a good motorway network (we drive on the left).
Post on here or join a trip or two - just get stuck in.
Cheers, Paul
