The secret is NOT to tie stopper knots, but to tie the ends of the bungee together with something like a Fisherman's Knot; which is not actually a knot, but a bend.

I fear that 5mm bungee may be a bit too thick for the resulting knot to lie in the channel. I used something like 3/4mm for this.

If this doesn't make sense, let me know and I'll take a photo of my Vyper & Uwatec mounts when I get home.

For applications that require a stopper knot, check these out. You'll find them far superior to the double-granny
