Single Cable or Dual Cable

Hi,

I'm looking to get my Canon 40d kitted out for underwater use and although I'm only planning to get one strobe I was wondering if I should get a dual strobe cable or 2 single cables, this would be in terms of a back up cable.

Can you use a dual cable with a single strobe or do you actually need two strobes.

This would be Ikelite cable for Inon strobe.

Thanks

John.
