It's absolutely vital that you hog loop the iron flex. Should your buddy have an OOS (Out of Steam) Incident, you must be able to donate your own iron speedily, easily and reliably.

The Ironing board cover must be black.

The clothes you iron must be predominantly black but with occasional flashes of Red.

Finally, make sure you plug the iron into a reliable electrical supply and make sure it hasn't got one of those unnecessary RCD things on it.
