I agree with the sentiments of the thread, we live in a country where we welcome people from other countries. The sentiments are when you visit or live in a foreign country you follow the rules of the place. ie when we visit Saudi, we are all made aware that they don't tolerate stealing & are aware of the consiqences (?).

People should fit in where ever they go, not try to create there only little version of their home country in the place where they choose to settle.

We have a lot of polish people moveing to Wales, my cousin employs a few in his factory, they are bloody hard workers, plus they will work additional hours when it is offered to them. My cousin is a buisnessman, he offers people the chance to earn a living, however lots of his indigineous work force moan like hell about the polish guys, but if the indigineous people are asked to work overtime they won't. My cousin reckons that they earn enough money to survive they are not interested in helping him keep the buisness going. If it weren't for the polish guys the factory would lose orders & maybe forced to close.

What I do disagree with is most of the polish guys are settled in Wales with there families, as they can earn a better living, however a few a here singularly, they don't spend any more money than they need to here, & send the rest back to Poland, to build large houses to either rent or sell on.

My slant is, if you choose to leave your country of origin, fit in, don't try to make it the country you left, which is the message in the opening of this thread.
