Chris, Are you suggesting that Tescos are illegally evading tax. If you have any evidence for this you should contact HMRC. I'll get 'er indoors to give you a call shall I? . Arranging your affairs such that you legally pay a minimum of tax is entirely within the law and one reason why tax accountants are highly paid (gits). You were self employed at one time were you not? I'm sure your accountant did the same for you.

Incidentally, Tesco paid £351m tax on profits of £1,289m, so just over 27%. How much do you think they should have paid?

It doesn't bother me, we shop at ASDA so all our money goes to the US
