Also there would be a clear record of it. Then if he did it again or caused a serious accident in the future, we can trace him more easily in the future.
Quite often the CPS will drop something, however he would have still had the inconvenience of being nicked and a short while in a police cell. Oh and you could have got the youngster (depending on age) to video it on the mobile.All the best
