Any of the above cars end up with a £400 a year road tax bill, along with a shedload off your payslip if it's a company car due to company car tax. Plus the MPG is shocking. Unfortunately the government have gone hell bent on taxing to the hilt non-eco friendly cars (believe me - I have heaven and hell with my main car being a Pathfinder 4x4!). With diesel nudging 120p a litre and going only upward, the better the MPG the more chance you have of not spending half your income on fuel!

Cos the 1.9 is an eco (117g/km co) you pay £35 a year road tax, and generally we get about 65-70mpg.

Ok, it's not as fast top end, but 0-60 is pretty nippy and it comes with all the toys.
Not so wrried on fuel or tax costs as they pay for the derv inclusive my personal use as well

tax bill is as follows for the year:-

A3 - £883.35 inc all the fuel I can spend
Passat - £1,223.82 inc all the fuel I can spend
Mondeo - £1,349.20 inc all the fuel I can spend

I wont be carring that much dive gear in it :-

1 recycling size box of dive goodies
1 Drager dolphin MCCR - 2No 3ltr cyl's
1 10L stage
Undersuit & drysuit

Thats it

Cheers
