This was shown on top gear a couple of years ago and iirc a Supermarket was in the news having being sold out of veg oil all the time

I know when I worked in a pub, kitchens and takeaways used to have to pay for waste oil removal, if you ask arround the local area they may let you take it foc
then filter, add the Kerosene and pay the fuel duty (unless they have realised and thats why it is now 30p/l)
