H the tories put up fuel prices and introduced the fuel price escalator that GB scrapped.
No one is going to give you a cheap ride on fuel because they will then need to put up tax elsewhere. That's the end of it. You have to pay for all the sponging old people moaning about the price of cat food in Sainsburys on a Saturday morning (we go because its busy and we like all the people - you can have a nice chat with the till operator...)
So tax will be charged somewhere. Fuel is an easy target.
Anyway just spotted a Texaco on the way home tonight...
