My Halcyon has been the most unreliable torch I've ever had. I've since rebuilt it with a Salvo head, switch, boot and gland from old AUL spares and sealed just about every joint bar the lid with Aquasure. It now works but has turned into Trigger's broom.

I'd go for the Salvo, the 21W HID is extremely nice, better bulb than the Welch Allyn 18W and very noticeably brighter underwater.

Cheers,

Stuart
