Why do people name inanimate objects? It can't answer you back, it doesn't listen. BJ had the right idea calling his bike barsteward when he got a flat though!

I've never named a car or a bike or a teddy bear when I was a kid. It's NOT got a mind of its own, you know!!!

I've just had my bike serviced. I'm sulking. It's cost me £120. And don't tell me I could've got a new one for that. It's a GT, I contacted them in America and although they don't do the model I have any more they confirmed the equivalent bike to replace it and it'd be £500 to buy. So yes, it's a good bike and, imho, worth getting serviced at that price. Considering I do 10 miles a day on it I'm getting my money's worth! It's not like I only use it once a year! And at the rate fuel is going up I think I'm still going to be better off than the people who drive or use public transport!!!!
