Ignorance is bliss
I have had a total loop flood and so has Janos. Both happened right at the end of the dive. Janos was on his ascent.
C02 can be due to a scrubber failure or a wob issue. It can also result from a damaged flapper valve in the mouthpiece.
So have you ever coughed under water? If so you will understand that all the checks in the world aren't going to help if you damage a mushroom valve by with a short 120mph burst of air.
In response to JBs post. I have dived Alpinist but I do try and avoid it. Fortunately when i did have a problem i had bailout handy. If i wasn't carrying bailout Id be dead now and not planing a day out with the kids Monday. Oh, and Janos would be dead too which no doubt would annoy Pipper.
