OK hes on the surface we can deal with it . boat is about 50 - 100 meters away draining the water out . i see the diver on the surface and a clear signal . so i start to proceed to the diver .
next thing i get the most over expressed distress signal that there ever could be so i get to him recover weight belt etc get him on board . (other divers have surfaced due to separation) recover other divers .
so alls gud . well just on the way home i get a phone call asking why i didnt get to him faster "divers still under" my reply why was distress signal used " i lost my other 3 buddies" . ok so I tell him what the distress signal is for . and his brother (who was his actual buddy in the group) has told him that im at fault and should have sped up to assist him . neither are cox'ns and george irvine doesnt have a patch on the elder brother (sarc)
ps. it took less than 30 sec to get to him
so what ye all think . |
Well, you brough GI into it, so my advice would be, follow Rule Number One - don't dive with wankers............ (scubagit excepted, obviously)...
