SCAPA VIRGINS / SLAPPERS 2009

What? I here you say 2009! Yep Valkyrie is booked solid through June to September for 2009 so it was either May or October, I've plumbed for Oct as the Viz is usually better but the weather may not be so forgiving!
2007 was a blinding trip and Big Si has done a great write up, I'm sure some one will post up a link! I haven't figured that out yet, lol
So why have I stepped up to organise the trip for 2009 - to make sure I get a place! This years gig is only a few weeks away and I can hardly wait.
This trip is open to Scapa Virgins and Slappers, the whole point is that we don't do, deep dark and scary, although that is available!
Plenty of stuff in <30m and even the main battleships are accessible and there's plenty to see and explore without going deep (ooh err), the cuisers are awesome and I found them more interesting than the big ships.
2007 was a great trip, 2008 is about to be better, so come along with us for 2009, you will not be disappointed!!!!
MV Valkyrie, has just had a major refit over the winter, with totally new galley facilities and new mattresses on the bunks, as well as that truely lovely diver lift!
The week of the gig is Sunday 4th - Friday 9th October with 2 dives on each of those days (weather dependant of course.) Dives will be based on the group's level but aim to include the wrecks of the German fleet, including the bettleships.
Air fills are free and nitrox is available and tanks are filled on board where you sit - you pay for your gas fills at the end of the trip.
The cost of the week will be £271.00 including accommodation, in the Valkyries roomy bunks - 2 to a room, so be prepared to share.
The cost does not include catering, breakfast and diner is £6/per person/per day and you can go full board for £13/per person/perday - I intend to organise the trip only, if you want catering then I will liaison with Hazel and Helen on your behalf but you will need to pay them direct for the food.
Costs are up over this year due to the increased cost of fuel etc, but I think are still very reasonable.
A deposit of £50 will be required to secure your space - I will need the deposits sharp ish to confirm our booking.

As you can see 6 out of the 9 names already signed up are repeat offenders
(not including Helen, hopefully this years trip will wet her appetite, so she wants to come back
), speaks volumes for the flow, the boat and the superb crew
So the nitty gritty, If you put your name down, as per the general YD rules you are liable for the full cost of the trip, it's up to you to find a replacement if you can't go - obviously I will help out as much as possible if there are problems.
Deposits will be required within the next 4 weeks.
Don't be shy, there are always changes with a trip this far in advance, so if the spaces all fill, put your name on the subs bench - note if you are on the subs bench you are NOT liable for any costs until you confirm you want to fill an available place.
