My suit has just gone off to seaskin for neoprene socks to be fitted. I had rockboots on my old DUI so know how well this system can work. Converse boots
Cloggs - Converse - All Star - All Blackwork well and they are quite thin in the ankle so less restriction on flexibility so that you have the full range of kicks.
Some divers argue that you only need rockboots for mountains- personally I think they work really well and for shore diving somewhere like chesil they are very useful. Socks do have drawbacks in that you need to be careful not to puncture them but a good changing mat solves that problem.
