Time to retire Mr Otter ?

hi all,
down 'ere in Oz, my otter brittanic has been going good guns for 6 years. 2 sets of seals (ended up with neo 'praise be to the Baby Cheeses'), 2 zips, boots swapped for socks.....its looking like frankensteins monster now.

the question is: i need a new zip, wanna p-valve put in it as well (lotta cave diving to do), braces need repairing...down here in oz that'll set me back thick end of 350-400GBP ($800-900AUD).

i also need to replace the (exceptionally ragged) otter undersuit - more holes than swiss cheese. more money.

now i luv my otter, but just how long should i keep trying to resuscitate the poor old gal ? should i bite the bullet and order a new suit (in which case the othree looks a go-er), or should i continue to do the bi-annual repairs (zips mainly, heaps of diving every year) and treat her right ?

"How long till you gave your Otter the bullet ?"

ta
andy
