"TEST CASE," Who the heck told you that one ?

Please show me the SAFE AREAS in the shipping lanes as you describe, as I know there isn't any.

Whilst this case is being looked into , may I suggest you read the collision regs & reading rule 10 a few times.

It is rumour and probably started by someone that only got half the information in the first place.

If you want the FACTS, then speak to the 2 divers concerned, that was spoken to as soon as they walked up to the top of the slipway. They will tell you exactly what was said to them ' no doubt '.

You won't get any FACTS from me, until I know / get told myself & as you have replied to this thread, then you know that myself and another MCA official was there to ' meet & greet '.

I heard 'The incident involved a ferry'? have they got rights over the sea more than the little guys, are we not all equal when afloat? or is it just size that matters most?
or are they mindless bullies that push through whoever gets in the way... or was the 'dive boat'? being completely irrisponsible? in which case....

Grouty
Please see above.

Also, it would be easier if you typed in FULL what you have been told .... " 'The incident involved a ferry'? " could mean a whole load of things and can be taken the wrong way ....

NO , RUMOURS start be people NOT knowing the full facts &/or listening to other divers ALSO , not knowing the full facts or just wanting to S**tstir , which won't help matters one little bit.

I suggest, IAN , that you speak to the 2 divers involved about this incident and then ask about and seek some of the divers that attended the coastguard station last year and they will tell you what was said to them by the top surveyor/enforcement .

Anyway, happy diving.........

I hope this just doesn't go all sour like last year.
