| I agree with most of the above, and I don't know the person concerned, BUT I would add that IF the reason for the no show would also take them out of communication for a while then please be reasonable.
For example my work can occassionally demand that I cancel holiday and send me pretty much anywhere - I've also known people to suffer unscheduled family berevement.
I guess I would contact the intermediary messenger and request more detail?
If the reasonable approach fails, then after three attempts (prefferably by different means as their PC might have croaked) then name them. If shameful behaviour results in shame, then people should stop behaving shamfully.
