I think most people agree that they're very good. The SK7 is especially easy to use as it works with lots of tilt on its card but this does add to its vulnerability.

Silent Diver is right as far as the wrist mounting thing is concerned - many people move away from consoles toward seperate wrist-mounted compass and computer.

There's not much instrumentation that survives having tanks dumped on it.
