| Have had a shuftie at one in a shop and it seems reasonably well built. But it's not a wing just a BC with a bungeed wing nailed to the back. Haven't dived it yet but the LDS instructors reckon they are ok. If you are going for a future- upgradeable jacket then stick with your Mares and save for a wing later.

Guess you are right, will probably be another impulse purchase! Recommend a wing that will take a single cylinder, that I can use with twinnies later on? |

You buy the wing to start off with and a pair of buoyancy restrictors (no snags like bungee). That will give you 45lb lift to begin with, more than enough for single and pony diving or twin 10's, maybe even 12's. Then if you get all tekkie and want to add stages as stuff you can either go for an intermediate restrictor at 65lb or take the whole lot off and have a huuuuuge 85lb wing. NAS also do some great storage like tail pockets, wing storage and harness pockets.

| sorry, haven't followed any of the links posted previously so i may have repeated some comments, but... i currently dive with a hover, probably as close to a wing as you'll get in a jacket. however, if you're looking to go up to twins later, you're probably going to have to get another jacket/wing. talking of wings, i borrowed a zeagle tech wing whilst on holiday, just for a few dives, an absolute dream. a little difficult to source in the UK, apparently the apeks nx3000 is the same, but i personally think that it's more like the zeagle ranger, and far more expensive. if you do decide on a hover, however, you're unlikely to get one cheaper than www.godive.net (sorry folks), so long as you shop online, although i think their shop price is a lot closer to the online than it once was. |

| i have recently sold a t52 having used it for the last yearwith a 15 l plus 7l ally strapped to that plus 1 or 2 3l side slung ! yes it worked ,had more than enough lift i was always head & shoulders out of the water on the surface .i stuck with it because i planned to go straight onto a rebreather but due to circumstances i am now going to twin 12's. i went to 3 different dive shops plus talked to tiguallio in italy & beaver who import them in the uk .none of us could come up with a system that would work for twins ,although beaver did say they "had no system at present but were looking at it " i loved the jacket ,the integrated weight pouchs also i never needed to fully inflate on the surface so never got crushed like a normal bc can do ,but it,s not for twins .having been forced to look around you can get some wings for not a lot more than a t52 & yes i wish i'd known then what i know now ,it would have saved me alot of money ! good hunting colin onwards & downwards
