Question Transplate harness and Tek Wing

....as an interim measure do you think that I could fit a Dive Rite Transplate harness to the plastic Tek Wing back plate? The slots in the Tek Wing plate are central....

tks

If you can remove the D rings, buckles etc off the existing harness without destroying it you could rig your own harness for about £15 worth of webbing.
I'm assuming the tekwing harness is missing or you have a spare plastic b/p

I have some dive-rite integrated weight pockets which when fitted to the waist band on the Tek wing sag and move around.....as you probably know, the Transplate harness has the shoulder strap fitted to the waist band through the steel plate which would locate the pockets. I find the dive-rite harness design quite comfy....

I would investigate the Ap weight pockets that fit the tekwing waistband, havent used them so cant comment. Dont know the Transpac either so cant comment on its suitability on the plastic b/p. I found the plastic plate a little flimsy (even with 10's) and the rig moved around too much for my liking. I bought an ali plate (s/h) and made a harness myself, wasnt that expensive. I expect if you did the same and sold the Transpac you wouldnt be much out financially.
Sorry I cant be any more help than that, might be worth PM to Digger, he was always playing with his Tek and he has loads of kit he tries.

Matt
