I'm just going to see how it goes - I might put a bit of neoprene around the shoulders, but haven't decided yet. I need to get it all apart anyway to do something with the backplate - after 3 sea dives, rinsed off on the evening, i've got small patches of rust developing already! I'm hoping that it just wasn't quite deburred properly and a quick rub down with something will sort it out! David |

| Ive done hundereds of dives in my Posiden suit with twin 12's on a CD wing. I have neoprene on the shoulder straps and no significant wear on the suit. But then again my set up is fairly tight and dosent wiggle about much. There is actually some wear on the harness as it threads into the backplate which I check now and again. Its hidden and wouldent normally be seen unless you stip it down now and again. I just melted it a bit to stop it fraying.

| If I've got it right you can get some harness covers with this Month's Redline magazine. It's for chav boy racers, and they're designed for seatbelts, but will work for dive gear. I got a young lady to make me some a while back, and they do the job very nicely. THese work as hose covers for rebreathers as well if anyone's looking, just off to buy another copy of the mag. It also has ladies in tight tops and lots of chav souped up Novas in there as well. And you have an excuse... |

ok, after reaching up for two copies of redline from the top shelf (lots of furtive glances around the newsagents) I got my grubby hands on the said publication. Ok, so it cost £4 for the harness covers (which work fine), which has saved me £20-£30, compared to buying the same covers from CD, OMS, diverite etc etc. BUT now I want "go faster stripes" down the dry suit, a pearlescent burberry paint job on the twins and a PA system to suspend on my harness. This is going to cost serious £'s. Bring on the bling .... DIB vid
