| not sure exactly what your trying to do - with my setup i only needed to make holes in the tekwing for the bolts of the twinset to pass though. if you not using banded twins you wont have these... depending on plate you have, and i'm assuming your using buddy twinning bands, can't they pass through the plate and through the slots on the tekwing? imagine just replacing the plastic buddy plate with the metal one... not sure if that helps!? |

| My OMS wing has camband slots so all I do is get someone to hold it roughtly in place while I tighten the cambands on the cylinder - no holes required (although it does have them). If the wing and plate both have slots, don't worry and just use cambands. That said, I do use a small bolt through one of the holes to hold the wing in place when there is no one around to hold it for me prior to tightening the cambands. Regards Mark

| eyelets? ..I'm using a woz mk3 plate and intend to carry on using the cam bands from the tek wing for the time being. I'm wondering whether I need to put short bolts through the wing and plate just to hold it in place. When I make holes in the wing do I need to use eyelets? Thanks for all your help! N |

| But wouldn't the wing be trapped between the backplate and cylinders anyway? ColinM

| The cam bands should be enough to hold it all together. Just make sure they are done up tight. I set up a single cylinder like this with my OMS wing, a woz MK2 and two cambands. WAs all held in place fine. Kev

| Nikos, as other have said the cam bands will trap the wing fabric (the air cell fabric and some of the central non-airbag section) to the cylinder(s) and hold it all together, you only need to make two holes in the wing centre section (the plasticy fabric stuff, where the cam slots are) if you intend to use s/s bands. The material will then need to be re-inforced with brass eyelets, but as you are using cambands this wont be required just yet. HTH Matt (tek wing and ali 'woz' plate) |

You can get eyelet kits very cheap. I got a kit from a camping shop for about £4 or £5, which included the tools and probably around 100 brass eyelets. For £5 there's little reason not to do it really... David |

i havent put eyelets (tekwing-oms bkplate-bolts through from the ss bands), only needed 1 hole as the top bolt just goes through one of the top slots with the wind being slight offcentre which frees up the top of the lpi. the hole hasnt frayed much...well it frayed a little in the beggining but it has sort of reached an equlibrium now and hasnt become bigger. i think maybe burning the edges of the hole woud work too, after all the existing slots for the cambands dont have anything on them...
