Which wing / BCD ????

sorry to post this so late, i've been meaning to post it for a week and never quite get round to it, I need some advice please,

I'm going to the Dive show tomorrow and will be buying a wing or a bcd, although I'm not sure which to buy, I was thinking of a wing so that I don't have so much bulk round my midrift ( as nature provides more than enough !! )

I dive mainly holidays, although this coming season I'll be in the cold stuff round the south coast ,

At present I dive with a Mares HUB, but It's just to damn heavy although it's a fantastic bit of kit, and a single 15 Litre tank,

My thinking is to buy a wing/bcd and a first stage, then I can take the regs off of my HUB, and use them with the new bit of kit

all advice appreciated,

Hub

I did the same when I started diving. Bought a HUB used it for 30 ish dives and then went to a twin set and wing. I dive with a Narked at 60 wing and love it. I mainly dive it with twins but do also use it with a single 15 from time to time.
I did buy new regs though and sold the HUB on!
I now dive Apeks reg British made like the wing

Garry will be at the show with his gear so it might be worth a look!

If you want to take it abroad you'll want an aluminium backplate for a wing - i'm looking to get one on Sunday too, to go on a DiveRite Venture wing. Backplate should be around £35, I paid £135 for the Venture wing (from Go Dive) - seems good, although not used it too much yet. You'd need a harness and some cam bands too.

Not sure about any others, sure they're all pretty much the same really.

as Long as you have no DIR hankerings then thats a very nice piece of kit, I know loads of people that dive with them, and have heard no complaints at all.
