Comfort pad info...

Hi,

I was thinking about getting a comfort pad for my backplate to both protect my suit from wear and tear and make it more err.... comfy when in the pool!

So, ive looked at the AP valves and CD ones, and they look lovely etc...

But how do they actually attach on? (ive only looked at them on the internet so just pictures!)

Are both suitable for a standard s/s diverite backplate with diverite harness? Any prefrences?

Are they easy/quick enough to get underneath when needed to attach a single tank adaptor?

Cheers,
Lynsey.

Other manufacturers include Halcyon and Narked at 60. They attach using 2 or 3 screws per side into the plate and are a doddle to remove. You can also use the Halcyon and NAS ones as a storage pouch.

The AP valves comfort pad i have attaches via velcro straps which feed through the slots in the backplate.

I was going to suggest using a couple of them "bodyform" things, you know the song, but I don't think they're trendy any more... cheap, mind you ...

Lynsey, I have a CD one I have never used if you are interesting in making me an offer.

I haven't used it because I have gone back to the OMS IQ pack from confort pack.

Hi,

Does it attach through the slots too? Thing is... there is no slots in my backplate! Never thought i would need them as i am going to use an STA!

If it attaches by another method then i would be interested!

Cheers,
Lynsey.

Nearly every backplate I've seen has bolt holes in the centre, or else you wouldn't be able to attatch your twinset. The CD pad has a long velcro strap which you thread your bolts through. Then you just stick the pad onto the velcro. Great item and dead easy to use, should be universal with its fitting. I'm sure you'll be fine with it.

regards, Andrew
