Halcyon Evolve wing...

I tried this for the first time yesterday....

Anyone want to buy an AGIR wing

Seriously, excellent - I have never felt as stable in the water - ever.

The new wing is a doughnut shape - like the smaller single tank wing - which means that you don't need to roll on ascent to get the air from the back dump. I have not used a Halcyon wing before - but I understand that the traditional wing made diving with Faber 12s very head heavy as teh horseshoe was wider at the bottom than the top.

I didn't take any stages in yesterday - I thought it best to take it one step at a time - but can't see a problem - apart from the string on the dump which is too thin for someone wearing gloves. I'll replace it. (I know - I could put a nice togggle on it - but no thanks )

So if you dive Faber 12s - and want an unbungied wing - go for it. I don;t know whether it will be better with Heizers, but we held it up against Daz's 7's and it looked better for those too (it's not as wide at the horseshoe shaped wings)

HTH

I thought you avoided the "H"...

I dive the smaller "H" with a single and love the easy dump of a donut, so was waiting for somebody to try the big donut for twins (knowing you were going to do so).
Thanks Clare you have confirmed my hopes!!

I'd be more than happy to trial it if anyone would like to lend me one for a day?

I'd happily lend you one myself mate (I'll almost certainly get one) but rumour has it that the UK version isn't due until early next year. Shame really - I quite fancy a new diving toy...

What's different for the UK version (apart from the price) ?

Andy
