Doesn't really seem the right place to ask a sensible question, but will they fit with a CD backplate? Doesn't look to be enough space on the backplate.

Sensible question. I shall try to answer sensibly.

The CD plate has a shallow groove which will make my knob stick out a little. However, the rounded knob end will not dig into your back. My knob, when used with a shallow groove, works much better than nuts.

Try my knob and see if it fits. If it doesn't, I can provide a shorter knob where some shaft length is removed.

You can screw my knob with cold hands. However, you may find your hands feelling a "little stiff". A loose knob may result which is not very useful as it may fall off when it gets wet.

do I need a knob like Woz's?.. I've had a good look around and can't see where it would fit... I really like the look of it, would like to touch it, but I think it is for those of you who like to play around with things... maybe when I've got bored being knobless, I would be able to ask if one of you kind people could show me where and/or how I could make use of it!
