Unhappy Imported post

I have had problems sourcing ss nuts for backplate/wing attachment. To be honest I haven't looked too hard having found brass ones at B&Q (tight git?) to fix on marine grade ss bolts.
No probs so far with freshwater but can I expect increased corrosion from electrolytic reaction once back in the sea?
School was way too long ago to work it all out (if indeed I could then; I can't remember   ).

Cheers all

Probably.

Any chandlers should sell all the SS nuts you could ever need, why risk it?

I got my SS fixings from a old fashioned hardware shop in Coventry without too much problem. There are lots available on the web too.

Brass may well react with SS in a salt water environment which will be alright until your twin set falls off

<font color='#000080'>Call Arkwell Fastners on 0115 973 1181 (based in Nottingham) and ask for stainless 316 bolts in the right size. They'll sort you out and cheap as chips, too.
