The "Which wing" topic kept having people say "Well, I've got THIS wing, but I've altered it..."

So, just our of interest, what have you modified about your wing, and why?

Myself, Buddy Tekwing:

Replaced ABS plate with metal one - stronger, gives more options with weight etc.

Replaced harness - The webbing was too soft + slippy. I've got some nice, stiff, yellow stuff now

Three eyelet-edged holes - for the twinset & P-weight bolts.

Removed bottle-holding sleeve - Don't have a bottle.

Removed side D-rings - didn't use them, potential snag hazard

Removed side triglides - ditto

Replaced pull-dump corrugated hose elbow with non-dumping version - it was too bulky

Shortened corrugated hose - it comes WAY too long!

Replaced pull-dump cord - it broke

I just finished testing my new wing, a DiveRite Superwing, up in British Columbia (utterly fantastic diving although a bit cold right now) and I plan on making the following mods:

1.  Replace corrugated hose shoulder pull dump with plain elbow
2.  Replace corrugated hose with shorter hose
3.  Shorten the strings for the lower bladder pulldumps
4.  Turn the backup bladder corrugated hose so it points down and can be bungeed to tank

I initially thought I would pull off the bungee but after diving with it in B.C. I decided to just leave it on.

Oh shit!!!!!! &nbsp;

I agree with Andy/WL
Tekwing as standard.

There's no hope, I have a long hose now, I can feel myself slipping into the black mire that is DIR. &nbsp;

<font color='#000080'>I have upgraded my Halcyon 40lb Explorer wing with one of these new precision inflators-

Now it's just about perfect. I will be doing the same to my 55lb Explorer wing.

Mark.

Custom Divers CD TDB wing harnes and back plate

I did away with the chest strap as I kept forgetting to di it up and never noticed the diferance.

I did away with the crotch strap as I dont use scooters so couldent see the point

I put a webbing loop on the top of the sleive tidy on the inflator hose to stop it covering the inflator hose disconect

I replaced the nipple on the inflator hose with an Apex niple so i could use the flanged discontect on the inflator hose for quick releise in an emergancy

I replaced the rubber bungee with shock chord to allow storage of long hose in the wing without repeitedly breaking the rubber bungee

I like it

Heres a pic of the most important mod. The replacement of the inflator hose with an Apex flanged unit intachangable with my dry suit. Its definatly not as sexy looking as the Halcyon precision unit (Am I the only one who wanted to vomit at that name) but its definatly safer.

My Buddy Tekwing arrived a few minutes ago. The only modification I have made is to remove the brown cardboard box wrapped around it.

It also seems to have some kind of mesh bag wrapped round it, I may remove that too.

I thought *I* had your long hose at the moment! Have you got another one, or are you wanting it back before Stoney?

Could I ask where you got the precision inflator from. I got my explorer wing this week thinking it was standard now (according to halcyon it is)but mine does not have one.
