<font color='#000080'>OK, now I want to talk to people who've either used or have at least had a good play with some of this stuff. I need a wing with about 80lbs (40kg) lift, single bladder, not too expensive (the OMS and NAS I can get for £190 new).

I had a look at the bladder for the Narked@60 stuf, and it looked pretty indestructible, and has a strange lift adjustable design that I probably wouldn't use, but could potentially be useful if it came to resale for example. Anyone ever dived one of these?

I know the OMS is a good bit of kit, but is it the only option? I'm not a big fan of the big halcyon wings as they tend to wrap a bit, and I use suit for buoyancy, so a packed away like the OMS wing might do me well.

Is CD worth considering? Where can I get good prices on CD stuff?

Only other idea I had was this Dive System stuff over from Italy, but I don't like the idea of having to phone italy in the event of a problem, and the materials weren't that great, but nice design. They're also probably the cheapest wing on the market for any intructors, £210 - 30% if you're teaching, just fax them your quals and they will do it no questions. I know there's not a lot of chance, but has anyone used this stuff? I saw the logo on the Italian lady who broke some depth record, but can't remember what kit it was she was in.

Their little wings are one for another day. Great design, useless materials. Maybe for blue-water pootling.

There must be wings I've not considered, so any suggestions. And not the RedWing. It's not big enough. But there was talk of a bigger wing from buddy at the stand sunday!

Answers on a postcard.

Thanks in advance.

Digs.

<font color='#000080'>Well, just spoken to the guy at Narked@60, and he's going to let me try a dive in his wing. Nice. Customer service.

I've written off the Dive System stuff, not good enough yet.

So it's OMS vs NAS. Mmmm...

I have a double wing 85lbs x 2, from Deepoutdoors they also have a single wing with the same lifting capacity, but I have no idea if they are available in the UK.
Check their web site they have a very high quality stuff.

<font color='#32CD32'>OMS would mean that one backplate would defo fit both your bladders. The CD wing and Backplate are a slightly different size I think.

<font color='#000080'>Cheers for the input guys. I'll report back on the NAS wing, as I'm going for a test drive sometime soon!

I'm tending towards the OMS a bit, as it's the same as the smaller wing I'm using now, but I'm not sure. Time to go diving methinks.

The one thing I would say for the DiveSystem stuff is their wings have a great inflator unit, a lot like the precision inflator on the Halcyon stuff.

Brought an 100lb OMS from the show. &nbsp;I havn't used it yet so cannot make any meaningful comment on its comparative performance, but my god it looks good. &nbsp;Surely thats the most important thing ?

If you do go for the NAS wing, you should be able to remove a few lbs from your belt . . . . those shoulder D rings are HUGE!

Hi Digger,

Some thing you should consider is what harness, backplate you want as well. &nbsp;I've an OMS wing &amp; OMS SS backplate with a custom divers sports harness as I wanted the intergrated weights &amp; some decent sized pockets. This combination also worked out to be cheapest option for what I wanted out of a wing/harness/backplate.
OMS wings also look realy cool!

James.

There is one minor complaint about the OMS. &nbsp;The inflator does not appear to come with a pull dump as standard, but it also runs off the front of the wing rather than the back so is better positioned for underarm use rather than over the shoulder. &nbsp;There is a pull dump on the opposite shoulder, but the cords just the right length to wedge down your back so you can't get at it. &nbsp;
But it still looks good!
