| Imported post <font color='#000080'>I'm not sure how well the cambands on this would work with indy twin cylinders. I had a look at one before and it all seemed fine except for using the bands for twins, all seemed to much of a fiddle for me as the bands go round both cylinders.Just my opinion though. You could always wait till the weekend I'm sure exnavyboy will let you know how he gets on with his new one on Saturday. John. |

| Imported post <font color='#000080'>Darren, Being the impulsive buyer that I am, went to LIDS with the full intention of purchasing a pony rig, had been going on about it for ages, ask j.w. but then saw the CD Sportwing. Tried it. Liked it. Then the girlfriend muttered, "I'll get you your pony for your birthday." Yeeehaaaah. Wing, your coming home with me. I will post a dive / equipment report on Sunday if you like. All the best, Ian

| Imported post I've used one with twin 10s and didn't like it at all. The cam bands allow a the cylinders to move too much for my likeing and although this may only be 5mm or so it felt very unstable and unsettled which was very off-putting during the dive. I know a lot of people who use a Hogarthian harness and the DiveRite RecWing with both singles and doubles and have nothing but praise for it. Personally I use a Glide 2000 for singles and a backplate and DiveRite Super Wing for doubles.

Did you get this at full price or did you get the ex-demo one they had 'under he counter' <delivered in a borwn paper bag, of course>? I missed the ex-demo from CD but got a little used one in the week after LIDS for next to nothing, relatively speaking. It did take a me a bit of time to sort out the inflator hose routing and it seems ok in the pool - have to wait until my hols to see how well it fares in the sea though. Look forward to reading your report. Regards Mark

| Imported post Had one for two years done about 180 dives in it using everything from a single ali 12 to twin 15 and even twin 12s and three 10ltr stages. It copes well with all and is very very simple to adapt using just cam bands. I still havent found any thing to beet it in terms of its operational window. As a wing it has ups and downs and a couple of minor mods are recommended. Owing to the location of the two dump valves on the single wing, horizontal asents when on the minimum limit for weighting are out once you hit the 6m stop. Its bum in the air and use the lower dump or vertical lean back and use the sholder dump. This has proved to be the only iritation with the unit and I am very rareley so light at the end of a dive that it is necessary. If your going for a multi purpose wing then its the one to have. If you want a dedicated single tank wing or dedicated twin set wing there are many other good options. ATB Mark Chase

Thanks for that, makes me feel a little better about the purchase as I have only read luke warm reviews (when I can find them) of the TBK so far. Would it be better to turn the single internal bag around and have the hose over the right shoulder and dump on the back?? I am also thinking of asking CD to put some stainless steel drain holes in the bottom of the wing as when getting out of the water it seemd to hold a lot of extra liquid weight Regards Mark

I will put a report on this evening, had a busy few days with the kids! Was an "under the counter" one, but came in a black CD bag, the brown one wasn't big enough! All the best, Ian

Personaly I find the problem a very minor inconveniance and I wouldent bother. As for the wing outer case filling with water How do you drain the water?? You should be happy with the rig some very very good divers use the TDB for some serious diving so I reckon they should know what they are doing. Only gripe I here is the complexity of the harnis design but rigging it with a single piece harnice is a POP so thats easily overcome. Enjoy ATB Mark Chase Mark Chase
