Hi Buster
I too was considering a Tekwing or a an Apeks WTX +3 cell as my new BC. a lot of my buddies have the Tekwing and I was initialy impressed with the Apeks at last years dive show. I have since been more impressed with the Frog Indego( Some how missed the Frog stang at the show ) and have now ordered one of these. I recommend you at least check them out before making a decision on a new BC, IMHO very impressive!

Hi matey,

What was it about the Frog that you prefered over the Tekwing (I had not heard of Frog before joining this forum?) From what I know and after reading some views on here the Tekwing sounds very good for mainly single cyliner with the option of going twins if you want.

Just genuinely interested on what made you choose the Frog over Buddy?

Have been reading this thread with great interest as I am fed up with my BCD. I'm looking for a tiny bit more info before deciding.
Which one is the lightest? (I go on the odd overseas trip)
In which country are they made?
I have dumpy cylinders (oo-er!), Can either of these wings accept both types?
Thanks in advance.

Not addressed to me but i replaced my tekwing for a frog. My reasons being the tekwing doesnt have a standard backplate so isnt as solid and cant use any of the normal backplate accessories like p-weights,pouches and so on. Also the tekwing harness was floppy, dangly and generally messy.
By the time you replaced the plate and harness you've already spent £150 or so so may as well get a wing designed to mount on those.

Exactly what he said.... I swapped my Buddy Travel Wing (tekwing but smaller bladder) for a Frog Indigo to have the security and adaptability of a proper backplate ... it's one less thing to buy if you progress to twins.

That said there was absolutely nothing wrong with the Buddy... it did the job very well.
