Spec'ing up a twinset from scratch

I am sure I will get a multitude of opinions on this one.

If you were to spec up a twinset from scratch, which bits would you go for?

I am talking the whole lot from regs and wing to manifolds etc.

    Suunto SPG.
OMS or Frog 45/55 lb wing
    Stainless backplate, 5mm.
Woz harness with single break on the left shoulder strap. Bent D rings on the shoulders, welded D rings on the hips.

now they're not the old heavyweight Euro's, and they weigh very similar to the fabers, is there much differnce in the trim with these

    serious question

Gary - I *believe* the only difference is the extra lead you will take in. They are built the same - i.e. the same distribution as the old heavy euros - just less metal in them..

Some good suggestions so far. I'd also chuck in a Halcyon Explorer/Evolve 40lb wing - both nice, take your pick
Possibly the Halcyon manifold - they're apparently very nice but I haven't tried one yet.

Not a massive amount, no - but they are slightly heavier and are still longer than the Fabers so if you find yourself rotating slightly head-down then they will help push some of the weight further back.

Being stranded at sea was a pet fear of mine so I liked a BIG wing for max surface flotation. Hence, I have the OMS 100lb.

So the Idea is that you fully inflate it and climb in?

Would go along with previous comments

    Halcyon 40lbs Evolve Wing
    AGIR or Halcyon Backplate
    AGIR or Halcyon Manifold
    AGIR bands
    Heiser/Euro 12l cylinders
    Scubapro MK25- G250v & R190 (apeks equally as good)
    Scubapro SPG

Only differences with kit that I rented out for courses:-

    Dive rite classic wings
    Dive rite backplates and harness
    Scubapro Mk25's and MK17's - R295's
    Dirzone gauge

I prefer the Heisers/Eurocylinders to fabers but personal preference
