Buddy Crack Bottle

Hi

I am sure this has been covered many times, but having just been given a Buddy Explorer with a Crack bottle and read the comments on the site I am a little concerned that it might be more hassle that its worth!

The prob is I'm off the Sharm end of the week so I might not get a blanking plate/plug in time, so could I not just leave it connected but not fill the bottle and turn it off?

Ta

Andy

I'd be careful......the penalties for smuggling drugs can be quite severe

Hi,

Try phoning AP Valves, their customer services is excellent. I called on a Friday and the blanking plate turned up next day on the Saturday!

Cheers,
Rob

I have to agree, call tomorrow and you'll have it on Tuesday. No worries.

In case you don't get it, you can always leave the cylinder empty, connected and turned off. Well, that's what I used to do with the Buddy Commando I used to use years back

If the fitting is working correctly it's got a one way seal in it, if the jacket inflates and stays inflated overnight without the crack bottle attatched, then I'd just leave the crack bottle at home.
But if you were to ring up ap on monday I'd be suprised if the blanking plate hadn't turned up before you went.

Absolutely right. There is a small rubber band which serves as a one way seal but a blanking plate is better...
