Not long after I bought my BC someone told me you could get a wing for a single cylinder. It was too late cos I'd spent a fortune on my Diva LX (which I love, btw, but would prefer the freedom of a complete wing as opposed to a hybrid wing/BC. I'd look at prices of single wings and they were way too much for me. Until I started reading about the Frog Indigo.

I know there have been problems getting hold of the Frog system, so I emailed Frog direct in SA and also a couple of distributors over there. This is the reply I got from them, which confirms James G's comments and post:-

    Dear Julie.

Thank you for your enquiries (both the one to Frog and Divemasters).

We recently have appointed a new Frog Distributor for the UK and therefore all UK sales needs to go through them.

    Here are their contact details:

    Company Name: Blue Orb Ltd

    Contact Person: Andy Fenn

    Phone: +44 7525 965902

    Emails: uk@frog.fm

    Kind Regards

I dont think it matters, and I am sure it will be a good thing.

When I first read the company name i thought to myself "who is this new dive equipment importer?" and also do they import any other brands or goodies we may all be interested in.

That i why I looked at who "they" were.

    regards,

    anthony

I have an Indigo and a Midnight wing.
The buckle, it is indeed quite weak, but that's not a big issue.

Concerning the compatibility with Halcyon plates, I had problems when using a borrowed twinset from a friend of mine who is using it with a H. backplate. I had to move the bands about 4-5 mm closer to each other to fit my Frog plate.

I tried it also on another twinset from a different person, and I found the same difference. What puzzles me is that I never read this mentioned on any reviews. My backplate's holes are perfectly aligned with both my wings' holes, which I bought at different times, so I would think that the distance between holes in my plate is coherent with Frog's design and it is not a manufacturing error.

Has anyone else really compared a Halcyon and a Frog backplates side-by-side?

This could be an issue when trying to fit a Frog wing on a H. backplate, much less when doing the other way round.

    Ciao,
    G.
