Oh go on

The news that you once owned a hub is the only thing that made me laugh out loud all day. Christ I would rather admit to being gay than owning a hub.

Class M8 you made my day.

I have just thaught of a new thread

I thought my hub was great. I bought it after doing my open water and paid £500 for it, the regs were ok MR12 Orbitor, Nikos Oct. I used it in Florida and found the airtrim easy to use. At the end of the day I had the hub for 10 months, did 40ish dives and then sold it on for £350. If I had been hiring a scuba I'm sure it would have cost me more. I could have bought a BCD and a set of regs, but at the end of the day I was a bit green after only doing 4 OW dives.
At the end of the day it's warm water kit and is ideal for the once a year holiday diver. But not any good for the North Sea

<font color='#000080'>I learned in a Sherwood ancient job, no idea of the model, and im not digging it out of the gear stash cupboard for anyone.

Now have a Buddy Trident wing jacket. &nbsp;Lotsa D rings, huge pocket right where you want it, and fits me ok(ish) - i was a bigger girl when i bought it. &nbsp;I cant seem to find a backplate short enough for my back.

Ok,

Now got a Dire Rite Superwing, and Custom Divers Harness with an SS backplate. Two bladders, just call me Mr Redundancy. Still got a ScubaPro Glide 1000, haven't dived it much this year, but I still love it, it is a simple and functional bit of kit, just not quite enough lift for the diving I have done this year.

<font color='#000080'>Using a DiveRite TranspacII and Recwing for diving in the UK and have an Oceanic Probe BC for taking away on holiday.

I'd use the wing all the time but have found the tank-wrap that I get when using a single 12 is a little irritating. I had the Probe BC anyway from when I first started and thought that I might as well keep that for holiday diving, rather than buying a travel wing. Besides, it's a nice bit of kit for warm water with a soft toweling linig that can be worn comfortably next to the skin.

For more demanding, cold water/drysuit diving then it has to be the wing. Still fairly new to it (only changed to it this year) and haven't quite got the weighting trim right yet, but even so I'm beginning to see the benefits.

Gotta love the DR travel wing, I've heard of some mounting it on an Ali BP for holiday diving.

Mark, I reckon in a year or two you'll have bought one, so you can use the harness all the time
